Originally from Valdosta, GA, I am an Associate Professor in the Art and Design Departments at Dixie State College of Utah, where I have been since 2006. Prior to relocating to Saint George, Utah, I was completing a Master of Fine Arts degree in drawing and photography at Washington State University in Pullman, WA. Additionally, I taught for seven years as an adjunct instructor of photography and design at various colleges in Nashville, TN. I am currently an active member of The Society for Photographic Education (SPE), The Aperture Foundation, The American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), and The College Art Association (CAA).
Expanding the scope of the arts in the Saint George area is a key goal that I (and the various Arts Commissions on which I serve) have before me. To that end, I currently serve appointed terms on the Saint George Arts Commission as well as the Saint George Public Art Committee. I am also in the process of developing four-year degrees in Art and Design at DSCU. My CV is available upon request.
